Election Special in English

Have you ever wondered if you can vote in the Netherlands? Chances are you can!

Many internationals are allowed to vote in the local elections, provided that they meet the requirements. Citizens from non-EU countries are also allowed to vote if they have lived legally in the Netherlands for at least 5 years before the election.

It’s not always easy for expats to gain insights on local politics, therefore the D66 and GroenLinks are organizing an Election Special in English on March 9th at the Podium Mozaïek. The parties PvdA, Volt and VDD will join the debate as well. It gives the international residents of Amsterdam the chance to hear from the parties directly on their plans for making Amsterdam a better place, covering everything from housing and sustainability to public safety and culture.

The doors will open at 19:00 with the program starting at 19:30. You are welcome to stay after the program to share drinks, carry on the discussion and meet party representatives.

Be an informed and politically engaged resident.

Please sign up below by Monday March 7th (https://ap.lc/mOX27)

We look forward to having you join us!
