1. More homes through smart and compact construction – We’re breaking through the construction ceiling and accelerating projects. We’re making better use of existing buildings by dividing homes into smaller units and building more compactly in areas where amenities already exist. Through high-rise construction and transformation, we’re creating space for thousands of new homes.

2. Breaking structural inequality of opportunity – We will restore balance to neighborhoods by distributing social housing more evenly. We will invest in debt management and ensure a rich school day for every child, with sports, music lessons, healthy meals, and technology classes.

3. The healthiest generation in Arnhem ever – We’re strengthening the healthy living environment so more Arnhem residents can age fit and healthy. We’re doing this by making healthy choices more attractive and by taking action where necessary. We’re creating more healthy alternatives and more space for sports and exercise in public spaces.

4. Arnhem is breaking through as the Dutch energy city – We are investing heavily in Arnhem’s economy. We are proud to be the energy city of the Netherlands and are fully committed to a campus-based approach, our business parks, and our vocational training programs. This is how we strengthen Arnhem’s economy and accelerate the energy transition.

5. Arnhem will be vibrant again – We’re giving more space to entrepreneurs, organizers, and cultural initiatives. Fewer rules, more opportunities for terraces, events, festivals, and nightlife. There will also be more space in nature to move and relax, without unnecessary restrictions. In short: a city where you feel free.
