D66 Arnhem opts for more housing, equal opportunities and a sustainable future. We want an open and transparent city government and a city where you feel free and at home.

More good homes
The housing crisis requires intervening choices. D66 opts for denser and higher building. That keeps our city green. We build the homes that are most needed: affordable owner-occupied and rental housing. In this way, we stimulate the flow on the housing market. D66 wants strong and diverse neighborhoods: a good mix of homes for all Arnhem inhabitants in attractive, green neighborhoods.

Equal opportunities for everyone

D66 opts for the best possible education for every child. To achieve this, we invest more in schools and neighborhoods where kids have a less favorable home situation. We want to get and keep as many residents as possible at work, with tailored effort for each. And we continue to look after each other in Arnhem, with the most appropriate care where needed.

A sustainable future
We help residents to insulate their homes and opt for solar panels on roofs and for windmills. We combat flooding and heat with more green space. We want more and better public transport. Everyone should have a bus or train stop within 10 minutes reach. And make Arnhem a real cycling city. Pedestrians and cyclists take precedence over cars, and we make streets and squares as green as possible.

Mattijs Loor
