Samen met natuur- en landschapsorganisaties gingen Statenleden in gesprek over de uitdagingen en kansen in dit en omliggende gebieden. Met een toelichting van de boswachter, een excursie en een inhoudelijk gesprek werd zichtbaar hoe groot de opgaven in Zuid-Holland zijn op het gebied van natuur, landschap en leefomgeving.<br><br>Voor D66 zijn dit waardevolle bezoeken. Buiten, in het gebied zelf, zie je wat politieke keuzes in de praktijk betekenen. Hoe natuur, water, recreatie en leefomgeving met elkaar samenhangen. En ook hoe belangrijk het is om niet ieder vraagstuk los te bekijken, maar te werken vanuit samenhang en met oog voor de toekomst.<br><br>Die manier van kijken past bij waar D66 Zuid-Holland voor staat. Wij gaan voor een provincie waarin natuur en leefomgeving niet het sluitstuk zijn, maar het vertrekpunt. Water en bodem moeten sturend zijn in ruimtelijke keuzes, en natuur moet sterker worden verbonden met wonen, recreatie en gezondheid.<br><br>Het werkbezoek aan Nieuw Leeuwenhorst liet dat op een mooie manier zien. Niet als abstract beleid, maar als dagelijkse werkelijkheid in een gebied dat symbool staat voor veel bredere opgaven in Zuid-Holland.\u00a0\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n
