D66 Zuid-Holland vindt dat veiligheid in de publieke ruimte geen gunst is, maar een basisvoorwaarde om te kunnen studeren, werken en genieten van het leven. Dat betekent beter licht, open zichtlijnen en goed onderhouden (fiets)wegen. Organisatoren van evenementen en clubs kunnen ondersteund worden met trainingen en protocollen tegen ongewenst gedrag. En ook mannen moeten bondgenoot zijn: grenzen herkennen, verantwoordelijkheid nemen en elkaar aanspreken. Lalta kondigt aan dat D66 Zuid-Holland binnenkort met een initiatiefvoorstel komt: \u201cIedereen moet zich vrij en veilig kunnen bewegen, overdag \u00e9n \u2019s nachts.
