D66 Zevenaar heeft in haar verkiezingsprogramma en bij het coalitieakkoord ingezet op het bouwen van zoveel mogelijk woningen. Om dit te realiseren is er een nieuw plan ontwikkeld voor de nieuwbouw van extra woningen op het voormalige BAT-terrein. Verantwoordelijk wethouder Van Orden (D66 Zevenaar) zet in op het cre\u00ebren van woningen voor de jongere generatie, starters \u00e9n doorstromers. In de komende periode wordt een groot aantal woningen aan het terrein toegevoegd.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper woonpark bestaat uit het laatste deelplan van de eerste Fase, en de uitvoering van de geplande Fase 2. Er worden nog 60 appartementen gebouwd uit de eerste Fase, en in de volgende Fase komen daar nu nog eens 265 woningen bij. Dat zijn dus 325 nieuwe huizen. Deze vari\u00ebren van sociale huurwoningen tot betaalbare koopwoningen en koopwoningen in het hogere segment. Nu wordt begonnen aan de tweede fase, woningbouw op het braakliggende terrein tot aan de  Babberichseweg. Deze grond is indertijd verkocht aan een projectontwikkelaar omdat de gemeente Zevenaar (toen) geen grond meer in eigendom wilde houden. Gronden vlakbij het stadscentrum en bij het station worden nu gezien als ideaal voor intensievere bebouwing. Daarom heeft de wethouder een nieuw plan laten ontwikkelen in samenwerking met de projectontwikkelaar, de eigenaar van het terrein. In het nieuwe plan worden er 265 woningen gerealiseerd, zodat het totaal uitkomt op zo\u2019n 325 woningen. Hiervan wordt 30% sociale huurwoningen, ca. 37% wordt midden-huur en de overige woningen worden koopwoningen in verschillende categorie\u00ebn.
