Woerden werkt er aan de toekomst met de bouw van 3500 tot 5000 woningen, een beter ov-knooppunt en goede snelfietsroutes. Ontwikkelingen waarbij steun vanuit de provincie nodig is en D66 Woerden vooruitgang wil boeken.\u00a0<\/strong><br>\u00a0<br>De D66-kandidaten voor de Provinciale Staten maakten een fietstocht door de provincie en brachten een bezoek aan Woerden. Marianne de Widt, statenlid en lijsttrekker, was \u00e9\u00e9n van de gasten. Voor de lokale afdeling was dit een mooie gelegenheid om de Woerdense plannen onder de aandacht te brengen.<br>\u00a0<br>D66 wil in de provincie Utrecht tienduizenden woningen bouwen. In Woerden wordt bij Snellerpoort en Middelland al flink gebouwd, op locaties dicht bij het station.\u00a0\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>Birgitte van Hoesel van D66 Woerden: \u201cOok het stationsgebied kan in de toekomst niet blijven zoals het nu is. Het biedt kansen voor nieuwe woningen, groene ruimte en verbetering van het station als ov-knooppunt. Tegelijkertijd willen we dat Woerden goed bereikbaar blijft met de fiets, te voet en de auto.\u00a0\u00a0De grote uitdaging is dat allemaal in te passen in een klein gebied. De steun van de provincie zal nodig zijn om dat mogelijk te maken.\u201d<br>\u00a0<br>M\u00e9\u00e9r woningen, duurzame mobiliteit en bereikbaarheid met ruimte voor iedereen zijn voor D66 Utrecht
