Belofte maakt schuld. En die moet je inlossen. Leveren we wat we kiezers hebben beloofd?<br><br>\u201cEr is lastenverlichting mogelijk\u201d<br><br>Dit hoorden we bij de PCG, en was vooral bij de VVD in de campagne een grote inzet. De eerste begroting van dit college, voor 2019, gaat uit van een lastenverzwaring. Het antwoord is dus: nee, we doen niet wat we beloofd hebben.<br><br>\u201cGemeente Wijk bij Duurstede 2030 klimaatneutraal\u201d<br><br>Wat die tweede belofte betreft: alles kan, collega politici maken vooralsnog geen haast met ingrijpende maatregelen zoals windenergie of grootschalige zonnevelden. Het antwoord is dus: misschien, maar een samenhangend pakket is er nog niet.<br><br>\u201cWe hechten aan een gezonde reserve voor de kosten van de gemeente in het sociaal domein\u201d<br>\u201cWe zetten stevig in op de transformatie van de Jeugdhulp. Met als doel effectieve hulp in te kunnen zetten waar nodig m\u00e9t beheersing van de kosten\u201d<br><br>De reserves van de gemeente zijn uitgeput. Deze \u201cGouden Gemeente\u201d zal moeten ingrijpen in de zorg, want de budgetten die we van de Rijksoverheid ontvangen zijn niet toereikend. En de zorguitgaven hebben we -net als veel andere gemeenten- niet onder controle. Het antwoord is dus: nee, we doen niet wat we beloofd hebben.<br><br>\u201c1000 extra woningen nodig\u201d<br><br>Is een wens die bij vele partijen leeft, ook bij die van mij. Maar hiervoor is nodig dat de provincie meewerkt &#8211; en die maakt weinig aanstalten. Dit wordt geen appeltje-eitje. Het antwoord is dus: misschien, maar de uitkomst is hoogst onzeker.<br><br>Belofte maakt schuld. Onze schuld is aardig aan het oplopen. Ik maak me hier ernstig druk over. Jeugdzorg, wonen, energie en betaalbaarheid zijn gewoon te belangrijk voor onze gemeente.
