Deze wedstrijd is bedoeld om inwoners te inspireren en aan te moedigen gezamenlijk duurzame maatregelen te nemen om hun CO2-uitstoot te verlagen.<br><br>Inwoners van Westland kunnen door middel van initiatieven zoals het plaatsen van zonnepanelen, het gebruik van elektrische voertuigen of aansluiting op warmtenetten een belangrijke bijdrage leveren aan de verduurzaming van hun buurt. \u201cDoor samen te werken aan verduurzaming, brengen we een duurzame wereld dichterbij.\u201d aldus fractievoorzitter Benjamin Hofland.\u00a0 D66 Westland gelooft dat een competitie tussen straten niet alleen leidt tot een lagere CO2-uitstoot, maar ook de betrokkenheid en saamhorigheid onder bewoners vergroot.<br>\u201cDoor iedereen uit te dagen om samen te werken aan duurzaamheid, cre\u00ebren we een positieve en energieke sfeer waarin duurzaamheid centraal staat,\u201d aldus Hofland. \u201cWe willen laten zien dat verduurzaming niet alleen haalbaar is, door dit te belonen met een leuke prijs.<br><br>D66 Westland stelt voor dat de straat met de minste CO2-uitstoot, wordt beloond met een prijs, zoals een straatbarbecue of feest. Dit initiatief kan inwoners motiveren om hun eigen verduurzamingsinspanningen te intensiveren en de gemeenschap te versterken.<br><br>De partij roept het college op om deze mogelijkheid serieus te overwegen en om ondersteuning te bieden aan de inwoners bij het realiseren van hun duurzaamheidsdoelen. \u201cLaten we samen een beweging op gang brengen die bijdraagt aan een groener Westland,\u201d voegt Hofland toe. D66 Westland wacht nu op een reactie van het college en hoopt dat dit voorstel snel wordt omarmd, zodat de gemeente een stap dichter bij een duurzame toekomst kan komen.<br>\t<\/p>\t
