Aanleiding hiervoor is een bericht in NRC Handelsblad van 25 juni 2024, waaruit blijkt dat duizenden gezinnen landelijk onder het bestaansminimum leven door een samenloop van regels rond uitkeringen, toeslagen en belastingen.<br><br>Steunraadslid Maarten de Ruijter van D66 Westland licht toe: \u201cHet is zorgwekkend dat zoveel gezinnen door een samenloop van regels in financi\u00eble problemen komen.Wij willen zeker weten dat ook in Westland deze gezinnen de nodige hulp krijgen.\u201d\u00a0<br><br>Uit het artikel blijkt dat landelijk circa 6400 gezinnen onder het bestaansminimum leven doordat de regels rondom uitkeringen, toeslagen en belastingen elkaar in de weg zitten. Veel gemeenten hebben niet de capaciteit en kennis om deze fout snel te herstellen, terwijl de Belastingdienst kan helpen bij het opsporen van de gedupeerden. Gemeenten kunnen tot eind juni verzoeken indienen om gegevens van potenti\u00eble gedupeerden te ontvangen.<br><br>D66 is van mening dat er snel actie moet worden ondernomen om te achterhalen of er Westlandse gezinnen zijn die door deze problematiek onder het bestaansminimum leven, of zij al hulp ontvangen, en of het college al een verzoek heeft ingediend bij de Belastingdienst om gegevens van potenti\u00eble gedupeerden te delen.<br><br>Raadslid Ilse Daalhof van D66 voegt toe: \u201cHet is van groot belang dat de gemeente snel en adequaat optreedt en samenwerkt met de Belastingdienst om
