De fractie koos haar als de nieuwe fractievoorzitter. Cordes\u00a0volgt Fons Potters op die wethouder wordt in Vught. Hij volgde weer Wilbert Seuren op die wethouder is geworden in Eindhoven.\n\nCordes zit sinds 2010 voor D66 in de gemeenteraad. De afgelopen jaren heeft ze zich vooral bezig gehouden met het sociale domein, toerisme en recreatie, sport, cultuur en economie. Bovendien is ze al jaren een van de drijvende krachten achter de Vughtse afdeling van D66.\n\nHet is volgens Cordes geen eenvoudige opgave om het voorzitterschap van Fons Potters over te nemen. “Fons’ inspanningen voor D66 Vught waren enorm. Gelukkig ben ik al vijf jaar vice-fractievoorzitter en heb alle processen van dichtbij meegemaakt. Daarin is het D66\/GB\/VVD-bestuursakkoord ‘Kracht door continu\u00efteit<\/a>‘ leidend en blijven we daarnaast nieuwe idee\u00ebn en initiatieven onder de aandacht brengen en agenderen.\n

Altijd actief, niet alleen rondom verkiezingen<\/h3>\nOok onder haar leiding blijft D66 is de komende jaren ook buiten de verkiezingen zichtbaar actief, net als de afgelopen jaren, bijvoorbeeld richting inwoners via social media en de up-to-date website D66vught.nl, de stemtent en recent zijn daar de succesvolle ontbijtsessies aan toegevoegd. Cordes:\u00a0“We blijven zichtbaar actief voor Vught, in de politiek maar ook daarbuiten.”\n\nDianne Schellekens werd gekozen tot vice-fractievoorzitter. Jan Jaap Rochat is aangesteld als fractiesecretaris. De komende weken is het reces, maar zoals altijd blijven ook in vakanties alle fractieleden gewoon bereikbaar.
