Die toezegging heeft AH-winkelgroepmanager Peter van den Heuvel gedaan aan D66 Vught. D66 Vught wil dat het Albert Heijn-filiaal in het centrum van Vught iedere zondag open gaat. Volgens D66 wordt beslist niemand verplicht om op zondag boodschappen te doen, maar -nog belangrijker- wordt ook niemand belemmerd. <br>&nbsp;<br>Deze week besloot de gemeente Vught geen toestemming te verlenen aan zondagsopenstelling. De mogelijkheid die inmiddels al meer dan honderd gemeenten in Nederland gebruiken om toestemming te geven aan een supermarkt om op zondag na 16.00 uur hun deuren te openen, wil Vught niet toepassen. D66 betreurt dat en denkt dat hiermee veel Vughtenaren niet gediend zijn die vanwege een drukke zaterdag ook wel eens op zondag boodschappen zouden willen doen. Van den Heuvel van AH beaamt dat: \u201cWe krijgen hiertoe vaak en veel verzoeken uit Vught en omstreken.\u201d<br>&nbsp;<br>D66 Vught ziet nog een bijkomend voordeel aan openstelling van Albert Heijn op zondag. De parkeerdruk op zaterdagmiddag in het centrum zal bij een zondagopening van Albert Heijn afnemen. Bezoekers van de Marktveldpassage die alleen voor Albert Heijn komen, zijn dan niet meer verplicht om op zaterdag hun boodschappen te doen.
