Na ruim vijf jaar heen en weer gepraat, meer dan 6 raadsvergaderingen en evenveel sessies om een streefbeeld op te stellen, is de kogel door de kerk. De vergadering kenmerkte zich opnieuw door demonstraties aan de deuren van het stadhuis en veel strijdmuziek. Tijdens de vergadering tekende er zich opnieuw twee kampen af, voor- en tegenstanders.\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tHet doel was om het streefbeeld wat zorgvuldig door veel groepen en mensen werd ontwikkeld vast te stellen. Na een periode van bijna drie jaar was bijna iedereen het met elkaar eens.\u00a0 En toch, nam de gemeenteraad een afwijkend besluit. Een amendement van de coalitiepartijen dat ook steun kreeg van D66 bracht de situatie eigenlijk weer terug naar af. Naar het moment voordat er wilde plannen werden getoond met ruim tweehonderd huisjes in het Nollebos. Die plannen voor het volbouwen van het Nollebos waren al in een heel vroeg stadium door de gemeenteraad afgewezen. Een als alternatief voorgesteld en ingebracht burgerinitiatief leek in grote lijnen op het ook door burgers en groepen van belanghebbenden opgestelde streefbeeld. Wij hadden natuurlijk het liefst gezien dat het Nollebos zou zijn overgedragen aan Staatsbosbeheer of een andere grote groen beheerder als Natuurmonumenten.
