De impact van Corona op het dagelijks leven en het welbevinden van mensen is groot. En juist in deze tijd, waarin er aan onze inwoners allerlei beperkingen worden opgelegd op het gebied van sociaal contact, en waar eenzaamheid nog meer op de loer ligt dan voorheen, lag er een voorstel van het college om grotendeels te bezuinigingen op de vele sociale aspecten zoals ontmoeting, sport, welzijnsactiviteiten voor kwetsbaren e.d. Dit staat volledig in tegenstelling tot de wens van het college en raad. Niet voor niets staat er in het raadsakkoord de ambitie dat iedere Velsenaar op zijn of haar wijze mee kan doen en niet buiten de boot valt.\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n paragraph__align--left paragraph__color--black paragraph__size--default   block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tAls je daadwerkelijk wilt dat iedereen mee doet in Velsen, moet je niet snijden in alle programma\u2019s waar ontmoeting centraal staat, maar zoeken naar alternatieven. En dan lijkt het ons logischer dan Velsen er de voorkeur aan geeft om te bezuinigen in stenen in plaats van sociaal maatschappelijke activiteiten waarin ontmoeting centraal staat.<br><br>Daarom heeft D66Velsen een motie ingediend tijdens de begrotingsraad om het college de opdracht te geven om in gesprek te gaan met\u00a0\u00a0Stichting Welzijn Velsen om naar alternatieven te zoeken die minder schadelijk zijn voor de ontmoetingsfunctie voor onze (kwetsbare) inwoners. Het dictum van deze motie luidde:<br><br><br>&#8211; <em>om in gesprek te gaan met Stichting Welzijn Velsen en hen zelf de ruimte te geven om met alternatieven te komen voor bezuinigingen, zodat er geen afbreuk wordt gedaan aan de kwaliteit van het sociaal werk en daarmee het sociaal welbevinden en SWV kan komen tot uitvoering van het transformatieplan.\u00a0<\/em><br>&#8211;
