paragraph__align--left paragraph__color--black paragraph__size--default   block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tOp 3 december jl., tijdens de sessie omgevingsvisie Velsen \u2013 gezonde gemeente heeft Els Zorgdrager van D66Velsen een balletje opgegooid om ervoor zorg te dragen dat er een handboek komt waarin alle minimale eisen worden vermeld waaraan de openbare ruimte en gebouwen moeten voldoen om de toegankelijkheid te bevorderen en waar bij de planvorming ervaringsdeskundigen worden betrokken. Dit zou moeten bewerkstelligen dat er achteraf geen correcties, die veelal gepaard gaan met hoge kosten, plaats hoeven te vinden. Een aantal fracties, evenals de wethouder gaven in december aan zeer enthousiast te zijn over dit idee en de wethouder wilde het zelfs overnemen.<br><br>Op de motie die ruim voor de raadsvergadering was rondgestuurd naar alle fracties met de vraag om te reageren om mee te tekenen of eventuele wijzigingen voor te stellen, is op uitzondering van het CDA, geen enkele reactie gekomen van de fracties. Van een gemeenteraad, die samenwerking hoog in het vaandel heeft staan, had je toch mogen verwachten dat zij aan dit verzoek gehoor hadden gegeven. Wij vragen ons dan ook af wat voor zin het heeft om een motie vooraf te delen met de fracties.<br><br>De verbazing was dan ook groot dat zowel het college als alle andere fracties, op uitzondering van het CDA na, tegen de motie wilden stemmen. Een gemiste kans om ervoor te zorgen dat we geld besparen in de toekomst en een nog toegankelijkere gemeente worden.<br><br>Wel heeft D66Velsen de toezegging dat er een onderzoek komt naar de toegankelijkheid in Velsen en de voorbeelden, die eerder via een presentatie kenbaar gemaakt zijn, mee te nemen in het onderzoek. Wij hopen dan dat er niet alleen gekeken wordt naar zaken die wel goed gaan, maar vooral de zaken die verbeteringen behoeven.
