Maar nu de tijd van stilzwijgende instemming voorbij is en het doel van Europese integratie niet langer onomstreden is, merken liberalen dat hun pro-Europese positie hen confronteert met fundamentele vragen, zoals: wat willen we bereiken met de creatie van een Europese gemeenschap? Hoe moet die er uitzien? En hoe verhoudt die zich tot andere, reeds bestaande bestuursniveaus &#8211; in het bijzonder de natiestaat?\n\nOp zoek naar antwoorden op\u00a0deze vragen organiseerde het European Liberal Forum in 2014 het seminar &#8216;Liberal perspectives on European integration&#8217; in Soesterberg.\u00a0 Voor dit seminar heeft elke deelnemende organisatie een discussiepaper voorgelegd waarin ze hun voornaamste gedachten over het thema introduceerden. De discussiepapers zijn verzameld in deze uitgave.
