het rapport van het SCP met de naam: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scp.nl\/publicaties\/publicaties\/2022\/10\/11\/gevestigd-maar-niet-thuis.-eerste-bevindingen-uit-de-survey-integratie-migranten-sim2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gevestigd maar niet thuis<\/a>\u201d In dit rapport worden de bevindingen van Marokkaanse, Turkse, Surinaamse en Caribische migranten beschreven evenals die van voormalige Iraanse en Somalische vluchtelingen. De laatste groep is meer tevreden dan de eerste. Het integratieproces wordt nog vaak eenzijdig bekeken. Van migranten worden aanpassingen gevraagd terwijl er minder oog is voor de belemmeringen die zij ervaren. Bijna de helft van bovengenoemde groepen gaf aan dat Nederland niet gastvrij is voor mensen met een migratie-achtergrond. Vooral de tweede generatie ervaart veel discriminatie. Zij huisvesten een van de oudste en grootste AZC\u2019s van Nederland. Ook de opvang van mensen uit de Oekra\u00efne verloopt goed. Noblesse oblige leeft sterk in de lokale politiek en samenleving (vrij vertaald: wij hebben het goed, dus wij voelen ons verantwoordelijk voor mensen die het minder goed hebben). Veel mooie initiatieven zoals de 1 euro winkel &#8211; waarvan al honderden jonge asielzoekers hun studie mee hebben kunnen financieren &#8211; en de vele maatjes projecten. In Rhenen is in de verkiezingscampagne van D66 veel aandacht besteed aan de participatie van de LHBTIQ+ gemeenschap. In Rhenen nog harder nodig dan in veel andere gemeenten. In de Utrechtse Heuvelrug is onlangs ook aandacht besteed aan dit onderwerp op de dag van de inclusie. Maar ook mensen met een beperking ervaren nog veel belemmeringen. En natuurlijk leidt armoede ook tot uitsluiting. Deze groep groeit hard door de inflatie en de energiecrisis en vraagt om creatieve oplossingen. Het ingewikkelde is dat mensen die buitengesloten worden vaak meerdere vormen van uitsluiting tegelijk ervaren. Werken aan inclusie vraagt veel inzet en is een van de kerntaken van de gemeente. Laten we onze vertegenwoordigers in het lokale bestuur hier scherp op houden en ondersteunen en voeden.
