Een mooi plan waarbij een succesvol participatietraject met de nieuwe bewoners is volbracht. De huidige gebruikers van het Veemarktterein hebben echter nog geen nieuwe locatie. van banen en misschien wel faillissementen. De gebruikers zijn zelf actief op zoek naar een nieuwe locatie. Met wat meer tijd kunnen veel problemen voorkomen worden.&#8221; Een latere sluiting kan vertraging van het nieuwe bouwproject tot gevolg houden. D66 wil dit natuurlijk voorkomen of beperken tot een minimum. Daarnaast kan de aanleg van de sportvelden al gestart worden voordat het Veemarktcomplex gesloten wordt.<br><br>Wethouder Bosch deed de toezegging met alle betrokkenen om tafel te gaan. Hij zal in mei de commissie Stad en Ruimte informeren over alle mogelijkheden, de eventuele duur van de vertraging van de bouwplannen en daar aan verbonden kosten. Op basis van die informatie zal uiteindelijk besloten worden of de sluiting wordt uitgesteld. Kleuver: &#8221; D66 is bijzonder blij met de flexibele opstelling van de wethouder.
