In de Voorjaarsnota 2012 worden pijnlijke keuzes gemaakt zodat de gemeentelijke financi\u00ebn solide en verantwoord blijven. Verschillende projecten worden geschrapt, subsidies vermindert en de budgetten van de college ambities zijn bijgesteld. twee jaar op weg. De kwaliteit van het onderwijs is fors verbeterd, de organisatievernieuwing is op stoom, het Vernieuwend Welzijn wordt ingevoerd en Utrecht is en blijft een sociale stad. We kunnen er echter niet omheen dat we in economisch zwaar weer zitten. Juist in deze tijden moeten ondernemers en bewoners alle kansen krijgen. Doordat onderwijs wordt ontzien kan elke Utrecht een prachtige schoolcarri\u00e8re tegemoet zien. Met de investeringen in cultuur blijft Utrecht een aantrekkelijke stad met een goed vestigingsklimaat voor bedrijven\u201d, aldus fractievoorzitter Klaas Verschuure.<br><br>Groen, open en sociaal<br>Utrecht is een groene stad en dat moet zo blijven. Het Duurzaamheidsplan is deels in uitvoering en wat D66 betreft wordt dat snel doorgezet. Zo kan het Muziekpaleis duurzamer worden door de oude zaal goed te isoleren. D66 wil dat wijkregisseurs meer doorzettingsmacht krijgen met budget en zeggenschap zodat Utrecht een open stad blijft. Een stad waarbij idee\u00ebn en plannen van inwoners en bewoners meer dan welkom zijn. Door het financieel verantwoord beleid is Utrecht een sociale stad en dat moet zo blijven.
