Er komen starterswoningen op Rotsoord en er komt veel ruimte vrij voor creatieve bedrijvigheid. block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tD66 heeft zich de laatste weken hard gemaakt om de fouten in het participatieproces zoveel mogelijk te herstellen. Kleuver: \u201cDe wethouder heeft na onze kritiek geprobeerd te redden wat er nog te redden viel, maar het proces krijgt toch een onvoldoende.\u201d Na gesprekken met omwonenden heeft de ontwikkelaar nog een kleine aanpassing gedaan om bewoners tegemoet te komen, maar de bouwplannen zijn nu zo goed als klaar. Kleuver: \u201cHet is uiteindelijk een hele mooie ontwikkeling. We stemmen daarom in, maar wel met wat reserves. Omwonenden moeten zich altijd gehoord voelen en de ontwikkelaar moet zorgen dat hij met bewoners in gesprek blijft. Zo lieten zij hun e-mailadres achter bij de ontwikkelaar, maar werd er geen contact met hen opgenomen. D66 heeft toen meerdere keren bij de wethouder aangedrongen dat hij in gesprek ging met omwonenden en de ontwikkelaar over hun zorgen. Het braakliggende terrein wordt omgevormd tot een woon- en werkgebied voor starters en ondernemers. Het project is gericht op jonge mensen en creatieve ondernemers en biedt 250 starterswoningen en zo\u2019n 1.500 m2 voor horeca en bedrijven. D66 is blij met deze herontwikkeling van het gebied. Kleuver: \u201cDe nieuwbouwplannen geven een impuls aan het gebied en er is grote behoefte aan starterswoningen.
