Daartoe besloot de gemeenteraad vandaag. Eerder deze maand besloot de raad al tot invoering van een milieuzone voor bestelauto&#8217;s. D66 benadrukt dat het een zware maatregel is die in Utrecht hard nodig is om de luchtkwaliteit te verbeteren.\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tDankzij voorstellen van D66-raadslid Bram Fokke wordt de milieuzone alleen van toepassing op de meest vervuilende auto&#8217;s. De voorstellen van D66 zorgen ervoor dat benzineauto&#8217;s gespaard blijven. Fokke: &#8216;Zo&#8217;n milieuzone is een zware maatregel. Er moet goed gekeken worden naar de impact voor onze inwoners. E\u00e9n oude dieselauto&#8217;s vervuilt evenveel als vijfentwintig benzineauto&#8217;s. Daarom kiezen wij er voor om vooral deze vervuilende auto&#8217;s aan te pakken. De gemeenteraad nam daarom eerder deze maand al een uitgebreid maatregelenpakket aan om de luchtkwaliteit in de stad te verbeteren. Fokke: &#8216;Een milieuzone helpt om deze verder te verbeteren. Hiermee zetten we dus een goede stap. Om de luchtkwaliteit echter blijvend te verbeteren moeten we duurzame oplossingen vinden.
