Vandaag laat het college van B&amp;W per brief weten dat de oplevering niet eerder dan het voorjaar van 2017 kan plaatsvinden. D66-raadslid Selma Bas: \u201cD66 wil zo snel als redelijkerwijs mogelijk is een schone prostitutiesector mogelijk maken. Die afspraak hebben we als stad al anderhalf jaar geleden gemaakt om de kwetsbare vrouwen te beschermen. block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tEen jaar geleden stelde de gemeenteraad nieuwe regels op om een schone, legale prostitutiesector in Utrecht te realiseren. Eerder dit jaar bleek dat het door deze nieuwe regels moeilijk is om een bouwer voor de nieuwe prostitutiezone te vinden. Op verzoek van de raad is de afgelopen weken een marktvraag gedaan, om er bij marktpartijen achter te komen welke belemmeringen er zijn om de nieuwe zone te ontwikkelen. De uitkomsten van die marktvraag worden nu nog bestudeerd. Bas: \u201cWe hopen dat er uit deze marktvraag duidelijke oplossingen voortkomen die snel gerealiseerd kunnen worden. Wij willen zo snel mogelijk met de raad en het college over deze uitkomsten in gesprek. Doordat er voor de nieuwe prostitutiezone leidingen in de grond aangelegd moet de grond bouwrijp worden gemaakt. Daarvoor moeten er bomen worden gekapt. Dat kappen echter alleen buiten het broedseizoen van vogels. Nu er nog geen bouwer is gevonden, wordt de kapvergunning weer ingetrokken. Bas: \u201cHet is betreurenswaardig dat we nu weer een jaar moeten wachten met het bouwrijp maken van de grond.
