Het gaat om de ontwikkeling van het gebied tussen de Tweede Daalsedijk en de spoorlijn richting Amsterdam. D66 wil dat de bewoners beter betrokken worden en heeft daarvoor tijdens de raadsvergadering een motie ingediend. locatie nieuwe woningen te laten bouwen!&#8221;, aldus D66-raadslid Maarten Koning. Op het voormalige industrieterrein waar NS spoorwissels en wagons produceerde, zijn nu 1200 woningen gepland. Het gaat vooral om betaalbare woningen. Omwonenden werden weinig betrokken en over ontwikkelingen werd weinig gecommuniceerd. \u201cWe zijn enthousiast met de kans die dit plan biedt voor de buurt maar we zijn niet tevreden met hoe het plan tot stand is gekomen, de communicatie met bewoners en de losse eindjes\u201d, aldus Koning. Ook wordt de mogelijkheid onderzocht om die tunnel tijdelijk voor bouwverkeer te gebruiken zodat dat verkeer niet door de buurt heen hoeft.
