In 2012 is dankzij D66 een gedifferentieerde heffing voor een- en meerpersoonshuishoudens ge\u00efntroduceerd. D66-raadslid Bas Meijer: \u201cDat was een goede eerste stap. Het is nu tijd om de verdeling rechtvaardiger te maken. Een meerpersoonshuishouden betaalt maar 18% meer dan een eenpersoonshuishouden! Ik vind dat echt niet te verdedigen. Een huishouding met meerdere personen betaalt \u20ac240,31. De nieuwe tarieven worden in het najaar, bij de begroting voor 2016, vastgesteld. Dan moet volgens D66-raadslid Bas Meijer de eerste stap worden gezet. Meijer: \u201cCijfers laten zien dat in 2040 minstens de helft van de huishoudens in de stad uit \u00e9\u00e9n persoon bestaat. En over het algemeen zal \u00e9\u00e9n persoon toch echt minder afval produceren dan meerdere.
