Vandaag stuurde het college een brief naar de raad waarin staat dat deze uitbreiding pas per 1 mei van dat jaar ingaat. D66 vroeg om deze proef waarin fietsen doordeweeks mogelijk blijft en alleen in de weekenden niet is toegestaan. D66-raadslid Te Ronde: \u201cD66 heeft altijd benadrukt dat deze uitbreiding van het voetgangersgebied pas bespreekbaar is zodra de alternatieve fietsroutes af zijn. Daarnaast moet ook iedereen zijn of haar fiets kwijt kunnen in de binnenstad, dat er extra fietsparkeerplekken worden gerealiseerd is een stap in de goede richting.&#8221;\t<\/p>\t Aangevuld met dynamische bebording, en een uitgebreide evaluatie, weten we zeker dat er maatregelen worden genomen die effect hebben. Te Ronde: \u201cHet moet logisch worden voor de fietser om overdag in het weekend niet meer door de winkelstraten te fietsen. Te Ronde: \u201cHet is onrealistisch om de fietser te vragen af te stappen, zonder eerst de broodnodige, \u00a0extra stallingen te realiseren.
