Er worden drieduizend woningen gebouwd in het gebied. Deze woningen zijn broodnodig voor de krappe Utrechtse woningmarkt. Raadslid Maarten Koning: \u2018Waar nu nog parkeerplaatsen van de Jaarbeurs zijn worden de meeste woningen gebouwd. Er komt een mix van sociale huur, middeldure huur en koopwoningen. Uiteraard worden de woningen energieneutraal en zoveel mogelijk circulair. Koning: \u2018Dat we deze woningen met veel groen eromheen gaan bouwen zorgt voor nieuwe longen in een nieuw stadscentrum. Met de vernieuwing van de Graadt van Roggenweg wordt een nieuwe stadsstraat aangelegd die makkelijk over te steken is. D66 is blij met de slimme verkeersoplossingen in het gebied met de beste OV-verbindingen van Nederland.
