Deze incubator zorgt voor de broodnodige huisvesting voor tientallen startups. Door de komst van dit gebouw is een deel van de zorgen van D66 weggenomen. D66-fractievoorzitter Jony Ferket: \u201cEen startup-incubator is niet alleen een dak boven je hoofd, maar zorgt ook voor ontmoeting en het delen van kennis. Een brandbrief aan DUIC was het gevolg. Het ontbrak de startups aan een betaalbare plek om te werken en elkaar te ontmoeten. Ferket: \u201cHet behouden van startups in je stad zorgt voor extra banen voor Utrechters. Startups zorgen voor innovatie en slimme idee\u00ebn die de stad beter maken. Hier moet de gemeente zoveel mogelijk ruimte voor bieden.\u201d Er is tussen gemeenten onderling een strijd bezig om startups naar zich toe te trekken en ze daar te laten vestigen. Zo bieden sommige gemeenten voordelen aan startups, zoals specifieke fondsen.
