D66-raadslid Lars Roodenburg: &#8220;Aan de Thematerweg liggen verschillende trekpleisters zoals de Geertjeshoeve, het Wielrevelt en de Kersenboomgaard. Deze plaatsen trekken veel fietsers en voetgangers en als de weg niet wordt aangepakt kan de veiligheid voor fietsers en voetgangers niet worden gegarandeerd. Met de komst van de nieuwe wijk Haarzicht wordt het op de Thematerweg nog drukker.&#8221;\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper Onderdeel van het plan is dat een deel van deze weg wordt ingericht als 30km zone, maar zonder voetpad. Roodenburg: \u201cAlle partijen vinden verkeersveiligheid belangrijk maar het ontbreekt vaak aan de juiste prioriteiten stellen. Als we toch al een deel gaan aanpakken, laten we dan meteen kijken of niet de gehele weg opnieuw kunnen inrichten om de hele weg veiliger te maken voor alle verkeersgebruikers\u201d.
