Sinds 2016 kunnen erfpachters de grond onder hun woning in eigendom verkrijgen. Voor erfpachters die nog canon betalen of deze niet eeuwigdurend hebben afgekocht, heeft D66 zich ingezet voor een goede regeling. De regeling die er kwam in 2017 blijkt zo succesvol, dat de aanvragen niet op tijd verwerkt kunnen worden. block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tIn 2017 kwam er na twee jaar afstemming tussen erfpachters en de gemeente een zogenoemde <a href=\"https:\/\/utrecht.d66.nl\/d66-einde-aan-onzekerheid-erfpachters\/\">conversieregeling<\/a>. Door die regeling kregen Utrechters de mogelijkheid om hun erfpachtrecht om te zetten naar eeuwigdurende erfpacht. D66 vindt dat een erfpachtconstructie niet meer van deze tijd is en wil erfpachters zoveel mogelijk mogelijkheden geven om hier vanaf te komen.<br><br>Vandaag blijkt dat de regeling erg succesvol is. Meer dan de helft van de 2867 erfpachters is op het aanbod van de gemeente ingegaan. Een deel van hen gaat voor de opties die mede door D66 aan de regeling zijn toegevoegd. Na vragen van D66 bleek dat de betrokken notarissen grote moeite hadden om alle aanvragen op tijd te verwerken. Vandaag is bekend geworden dat de termijn van oorspronkelijk drie maanden nu wordt verlengd met twee maanden.
