Binnen het huidige systeem werden deze huishoudens benadeeld ten opzichte van meerpersoonshuishoudens. Dankzij een motie van D66 worden er nu wijzigingen doorgevoerd. Daardoor worden de tarieven meer in balans gebracht met de hoeveelheid afval per huishouden, waardoor het eerlijker wordt.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n Het bedrag verschilde maar 50 euro. Het huidige afvalbelastingsysteem deed geen recht aan het principe: \u2018de vervuiler betaalt\u2019 en benadeelt daarmee mensen die alleen wonen. Hierdoor worden de belastingtarieven eerlijker verdeeld. De afvalstoffenheffing zal gedurende de twee jaar geleidelijk worden verhoogd tot het uiteindelijke bedrag. Veel van de wetten en regels zijn niet meegegroeid met deze ontwikkelingen. De afvalstoffenheffing is een voorbeeld daarvan. De gemeente gaat nu ook onderzoeken of ze zo\u2019n zelfde systeemwijziging kunnen doorvoeren voor de <a href=\"https:\/\/ureka.utrecht.nl\/app\/document?url=https:%2F%2Fapi1.ibabs.eu%2Fpublicdownload.aspx%3Fsite%3DUtrecht%26id%3D5dfff9fe-d6a1-4558-9ca1-ed0ae5eed690\">rioolheffing<\/a>.
