D66 ziet nu kans om in Utrecht gezonde schoollunches op basisscholen mogelijk te maken. Raadslid Has Bakker: \u201cDe coronacrisis heeft ons laten zien welke impact gezondheidsverschillen hebben. Die verschillen beginnen al op basisscholen, waar ongelijke kansen ook via de broodtrommel in de klas belanden.\u201d De komende tijd komt als gevolg van de coronacrisis veel geld vrij voor onderwijs, jeugd, sport en gezondheid. Dat staat ook in haar landelijke <a href=\"https:\/\/d66.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/d66_verkiezingsprogramma_een_nieuw_begin_2021_2025.pdf\">verkiezingsprogramma<\/a>. Onderdeel van zo\u2019n rijke schooldag is een gezonde schoollunch. Raadslid Mohammed Saiah: \u201cWat kinderen in hun lunchtrommeltje meekrijgen als ze naar school gaan, verschilt nogal. Hierdoor ontstaan gezondheidsverschillen tussen kinderen. Het aanbieden van gezonde lunches kan op steun van het Utrechtse college rekenen, maar men loopt tegen praktische en financi\u00eble bezwaren aan. Bakker: \u201cEr komen nieuwe middelen vanwege de coronacrisis en er is onlangs steun uitgesproken in de Tweede Kamer. Dit is het moment om de gezonde schoollunch in Utrecht een duw te geven. D66 vindt dat scholen die willen, door de gemeente moeten worden geholpen bij het opzetten van pilots.\u201d De pilots kunnen plaatsvinden op scholen in buurten die op gezondheidsvlak al niet hoog scoren.<br><br><em>D66 stelt de gezonde schoollunch tijdens het mondelinge vragenuur van a.s. donderdag aan bod.
