Jongeren willen in de eigen omgeving blijven wonen. Zij kunnen daar nu geen geschikte woning vinden. Tijdens de bespreking van de <a href=\"https:\/\/d66.nl\/steenwijkerland\/nieuws\/woonagenda-steenwijkerland\/\">woonagenda<\/a>, kwam deze conclusie uit het <a href=\"https:\/\/media.d66.nl\/uploads\/sites\/229\/2026\/02\/Rapport-Woningmarktonderzoek-Steenwijkerland-2021-2031-2041-1.pdf\">woningonderzoek <\/a>ook aan bod. Dat betekent dat we de omgeving ook zo groen mogelijk willen inrichten, zodat het prettig wonen is. Rijk aan beplanting die goed is voor de biodiversiteit en met voldoende bomen en natuurlijk ruimte voor spelen. Het overtollige regenwater is steeds vaker een probleem. Aangezien de vraag naar woningen hoog is, is het verleiding om weilanden om te toveren naar woonwijken. D66 ziet dat anders. Wij willen dat het in het buitengebied mogelijk wordt om de kavels te splitsen. Wij willen voor de woningbouw in Steenwijkerland hier goede afspraken over maken.
