Ondanks dat we de stad<br>autoluw maken, ervaren fietsers, voetgangers en omwonende bewoners<br>dagelijks de impact van overmatig verkeersgeluid. De GGD luidde recent<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ad.nl\/binnenland\/ggd-slaat-alarm-over-toename-luidruchtige-auto-s-en-motoren-verkeerslawaai-slecht-voor-de-gezondheid~ac6db918\/\">daarom ook al de Deze geluiden zijn vaak een ingebouwde functie van autofabrikanten en kunnen zelfs zonder beweging van het voertuig worden geproduceerd. Hoewel de verkeersaso-aanpak al enige tijd wordt ingezet, heeft dit nog niet geleid tot de gewenste resultaten. <br><br>Onze fractie vindt dat het tijd is voor effectievere maatregelen. Daarom hebben wij aan het college vragen gesteld over de handhaving en aanpak van geluidsoverlast. Zo zijn we kritisch op de wijze waarop boetes vaak niet worden uitgeschreven omdat de auto afkomstig is van een autoverhuur- of leasebedrijf. Dit kan en moet echt anders. Onze fractie roept ook op om te kijken naar Den Haag, waar ze werken met de \u2018noise patrol\u2019. Hiermee kan het geluidsniveau van auto\u2019s worden gemeten. Als het geluid over de limiet gaat, mag de auto niet meer worden gebruikt totdat deze bij de keuring stiller is gemaakt. Dit heet een Wacht Op Keuring (WOK).
