Sindsdien krijgt het mbo steeds meer de waardering die het verdiend en nodig heeft. paragraph__align--left paragraph__color--black paragraph__size--default   block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tOmdat Rotterdam de mbo-hoofdstad van Nederland is, hebben we recent een debat aangevraagd om talentontwikkeling, aansluiting op de arbeidsmarkt en opleiden voor sleutelberoepen centraal te stellen bij het mbo-beleid. MBO-professionals zijn namelijk essentieel voor de arbeidsmarkt van de toekomst met alle transities die aanstaande zijn.<br>\u00a0<br>In tegenstelling tot landelijke trends van een dalend MBO-studentenaantal is in regio Rijnmond een stijging in het aantal beroepsbegeleidende leerweg studenten waar te nemen. Dit toont aan dat de focus en prioriteit op het MBO moet liggen in Rotterdam en een opwaardering en herwaardering noodzakelijk is.<br>\u00a0<br>Daarnaast is Rotterdam hard aan het werk om stagediscriminatie aan te pakken, maar zien we in de praktijk dat het probleem weerbarstig is, en meer specifieke aandacht vraagt. Met het landelijke Stagepact MBO 2023-2027 en een landelijk meldpunt stagediscriminatie bij SBB zetten we langzaamaan stappen in de juiste richting. Met als uiteindelijke doel gelijke kansen voor iedere student.<br>\u00a0<br>Met onze eerder unaniem aangenomen motie <a href=\"https:\/\/gemeenteraad.rotterdam.nl\/Reports\/Document\/a1b72e02-5348-415a-b09a-afd15975a1a4?documentId=bf11ece4-264b-4e76-9878-96f994d62516\">Trots op het MBO<\/a> riepen we eerder al op het MBO te herwaarderen en MBO-studenten als volwaardig student mee te laten draaien gedurende de opleiding. Met de werkagenda MBO zet de minister hier de komende jaren in samenwerking met de onderwijsinstellingen vol op in. Vanuit het gemeentelijk onderwijsbeleid \u2018Gelijke Kansen voor elk Talent\u2019 wordt nu ingezet op talentontwikkeling, de juiste loopbaankeuzes en een goede aansluiting op de arbeidsmarkt.
