Mensen met een uitkering moeten ook een woning kunnen delen. Hospitaverhuur tot drie personen wordt vergunningvrij toegestaan. D66 ziet hier een grote kans de kwaliteit van de leefomgeving te versterken in het hele gebied vanaf Buitenlust, via de Rijnsburgerweg tot aan de Rijn. Het wordt een openbaar gebied met mooie doorgaande fiets- en wandelroutes. De groene open ruimte nodigt uit tot ontspanning en er zijn mogelijkheden om bijvoorbeeld moestuinen, een klein voedselbos, een speeltuinvereniging of een kinderboerderij te realiseren. Naast het aantrekkelijke karakter van de wijk voor bezoekers van buiten is er ook ruimte voor betaalbare wonen in het groen voor starters en ouderen.
