Het belangrijkste thema is veilig fietsen naar school met een pleidooi voor o.a. eenrichtingsverkeer en een maximumsnelheid van 15 km\/u bij basisscholen. Andere zaken waar we voor pleiten zijn snelfietspaden, fietsstroken en voorrang voor fietsers. Bij stoplichten waar autoverkeer en fietsverkeer kruisen moeten flitspalen komen om door rood rijden te ontmoedigen.\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tEr wordt ook aandacht gevraagd voor recreatieve fietsroutes. Naar Buitencentrum De Pelen moet een vrijliggend fietspad komen. Langs recreatieve fietsroutes moeten meer picknickbankjes, prullenbakken en watertappunten komen. In juni is onze motie voor watertappunten al unaniem aangenomen door de gemeenteraad.<br><br>We vinden het jammer dat er de laatste jaren zo weinig is ge\u00efnvesteerd in goede fietsinfrastructuur. Veel fietsstroken zijn zelfs verdwenen. Als we het belangrijk vinden dat inwoners gebruik maken van de fiets, moeten we volmondig kiezen voor de fiets. In dit plan wordt uitgewerkt wat de gemeente Nederweert de komende jaren op verkeersgebied wil gaan doen en waar prioriteiten liggen. Er wordt door de gemeente hard gewerkt aan het opstellen van het mobiliteitsplan. Door het aanbieden van dit fietsplan willen we op een constructieve manier aangeven wat wij graag terug zien komen in het mobiliteitsplan.
