veel intensieve veehouderijen. Omdat we streven naar een gezonder buitengebied stimuleren we boeren om mee te doen aan stoppersregelingen. Daar hoort ook bij dat vanuit de gemeente perspectief wordt geboden en nieuwe verdienmodellen mogelijk zijn. We geven ruimte voor nieuwe kansen in het buitengebied. Op de raadsagenda stonden drie voorstellen waarbij intensieve veehouderijen verdwijnen in het buitengebied en nieuwe bedrijvigheid ontstaat. Dit geeft deze stoppende boeren een nieuw toekomstperspectief en zorgt voor een beter en gezonder milieu. Naast het crematorium komt ook een natuurbegraafplaats en 7 hectare nieuwe natuur. We zien deze ontwikkeling echt als aanwinst voor onze gemeente. Wel hebben we onze zorgen geuit over de veiligheid van met name het fietsverkeer omdat het crematorium voor meer verkeer in het buitengebied gaat zorgen. De wethouder gaat met de initiatiefnemers zorgen voor een veilige fietsverbinding langs de Molswingelsdwarsdijk van het crematorium naar de Booldersdijk. Het gaat dan bijvoorbeeld om landschap, biodiversiteit en netcapaciteit. We hebben ook moeite met het opofferen van groen voor zonnepanelen. Een van de stoppende boeren wil een zonneweide aanleggen na de sloop van zijn varkenshouderij. Ondanks dat we kritisch zijn op zonneweides hebben we volmondig ingestemd met dit voorstel. Het gaat namelijk om een kleine zonneweide en de zonnepanelen komen alleen te liggen op de plek waar nu nog de stal staat. Er wordt dus geen groen of akkerland opgeofferd voor de zonneweide. Wat ons betreft is deze ontwikkeling een verbetering van het landschap.
