Cultuur en andere kunstuitingen spelen niet alleen een rol in persoonlijke ontwikkeling, maar ook in sociale samenhang. Het samen bezoeken van een voorstelling, zingen in een koor, het ontdekken van creatieve talenten of het uiten van emoties zijn slechts enkele voorbeelden van de impact die cultuur en kunst kunnen hebben op het dagelijks leven. Culturele instellingen en evenementen versterken de aantrekkelijkheid van Montferland voor zowel inwoners als bezoekers van buitenaf. In Montferland kennen we een groot verenigingsleven dat bijdraagt aan cultuur en dat moeten we koesteren en waar nodig ondersteunen.<br><br><strong>Speerpunten<\/strong><br><br><strong>\u2022 Zet in op cultuureducatie en jongerenparticipatie. <\/strong>Cultuurbewustwording begint bij de jongeren. Kinderen en jongeren hebben creatieve vaardigheden nodig die hen voorbereiden op de toekomst. Dit willen we door experimenteergelden beschikbaar te stellen voor jongerenprojecten, zoals lokale muziek- of dansworkshops, en door culturele vouchers in te zetten om jongeren te stimuleren hun eigen projecten op te starten.<br><br><strong>\u2022 Behoud van erfgoed. <\/strong>Het erfgoed binnen de gemeente is belangrijk voor de identiteit en het gemeenschapsgevoel. Naast materieel erfgoed, hebben we ook aandacht voor immaterieel erfgoed zoals schutterijen, kermissen en carnaval. Door te investeren in het behoud en de zichtbaarheid van lokaal erfgoed, kunnen we als gemeente een stevige basis bieden voor educatie en toerisme, en tegelijkertijd een thuisgevoel cre\u00ebren voor alle inwoners.<br><br><strong>\u2022 Werk bibliotheek ondersteunen.<\/strong> Goed kunnen lezen is steeds minder een vanzelfsprekendheid. De toegang tot boeken is daarvoor cruciaal. D66 ondersteunt daarom dat het werk van bibliotheek Poort van Gelre. De bibliotheek moet naast de bestaande doelgroep een steeds belangrijker rol krijgen bij het bestrijden van de laaggeletterdheid bij jeugd en volwassenen. Samen met andere organisaties wordt gewerkt om de cirkel van laaggeletterdheid te doorbreken. Ook onderschrijft D66 het belang van de zomerschool.<br><br><strong>\u2022 Kunst hoort bij grote projecten. <\/strong>D66 wil dat de 1%-regel voor kunsttoepassing bij bouwwerken en infrastructurele werken consequent wordt toegepast.
