Furec is een waterstofproject en staat voor Fuse Reuse Recycle. Het idee is dat van niet-recyclebaar afval, zeg maar restafval van o.a. huishoudens waterstof wordt gemaakt. Hiertoe wil RWE in een grote bedrijfsloods op industrieterrein Zevenellen restafval verzamelen. Het restafval wordt fijn gemalen, gedroogd, gesorteerd en verkleind en geperst tot pellets. Deze worden vervoerd per schip of vrachtauto naar het Chemelot terrein voor verdere verwerking.\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper Omwonenden, bewoners van Buggenum en overige Leudalse kernen konden met hun vragen terecht bij de aanwezige medewerkers van het Furec project. Zij gaven antwoorden op vragen over o.a. het proces, de vergunningaanvraag en de verkeersbewegingen.
