D66 is positief over het nieuwe beleid waarbij meer inwoners aanspraak kunnen maken op ondersteuning, en het onder meer het doel is om het stelsel toegankelijker te maken en te richten op de inwoners die de financi\u00eble hulp het hardst nodig hebben.\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper  wrapper__spacing-bottom-large--30 paragraph__align--left paragraph__color--black paragraph__size--default   block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tD66-raadslid Mahjoub Mathlouti zegt het volgende over het nieuwe beleid: \u2018We zijn aardig tevreden met het nieuwe armoedebeleid in onze gemeente. Ondanks die tevredenheid hebben we de wethouder ook wat aandachtspunten meegegeven. We zijn blij dat met het nieuwe beleid de financi\u00eble ondersteuning voor meerdere doelgroepen in onze gemeente beschikbaar wordt gesteld. Dat is een mooi uitgangspunt, maar helaas lezen we ook dat de ondersteuning nog niet iedereen bereikt die er recht op heeft. Dat moeten we als gemeente echt veel beter doen. Zeker bij gezinnen. De kansen en ontwikkeling van kinderen mogen wat ons betreft niet worden beperkt door de financi\u00eble mogelijkheden van ouders, en moeten zij behalve goed onderwijs kunnen volgen en de juiste zorg ontvangen ook mee kunnen doen aan activiteiten op het gebied van sport, muziek en kunst en cultuur. En gelukkig zijn er regelingen die dat mogelijk maken in onze gemeente. Ook hier maakte D66 een punt. Mathlouti: \u2018In de doorrekening die we na het eerdere commissiedebat hadden ontvangen zagen we dat enkele gezinssamenstellingen er tussen de \u20ac36,- en \u20ac41,- per maand op achteruit zouden kunnen gaan. Precies de gevallen waar we dat juist niet willen. En deze bedragen lijken niet veel, maar voor die betreffende gezinnen maakt dat net wel het verschil. Dat is namelijk net die kleine boodschappentas nodig is, net die extra wintertrui omdat de verwarming niet altijd aan kan, en net die eigen bijdrage die betaald moet worden aan de sportvereniging. Gelukkig heeft de wethouder toegezegd iedereen te helpen die als gevolg van het nieuwe beleid in de knel komt. Om juist ook deze gezinnen te helpen wanneer het nodig is hebben we met de collega\u2019s van de PvdA, GroenLinks en GBLV een motie ingediend om met een voorstel te komen waarbij inzichtelijk wordt gemaakt wat het zou kosten als we de financi\u00eble ondersteuning in bepaalde gevallen zouden verruimen. De motie werd gelukkig unaniem aangenomen en de wethouder komt begin 2025 met een reactie. Met het voorstel van de PvdA en GroenLinks om blind extra miljoenen beschikbaar te stellen en te dekken uit een hogere OZB-belasting stemde wij niet mee in. Het voorstel klinkt op voorhand sympathiek maar het uitgeven van grote bedragen en het lukraak verhogen van de OZB-belasting is niet de juiste manier. Wat ons betreft moet dit ordentelijk via de begrotingsbehandeling. Dat is de plek waar je grote uitgaven van de gemeentelijke taken tegen elkaar af kan wegen, waarna je gedegen besluit waar je wat aan uitgeeft en waar je dit uit zal betalen, en niet even tussendoor in een reguliere raadsvergadering.\u2019\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"block-post-content__sidebar\">\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper  wrapper__spacing-bottom-large--50 wrapper__spacing-bottom-desktop--70 wrapper__spacing-bottom-mobile--50  wrapper__gutter--none\"\n  >\n  \t<div class=\"wrapper__container wrapper__container-width-large--default\">\n\t  <div class=\"wrapper__inner wrapper__width-large--18 wrapper__width-desktop--22 wrapper__width-mobile--24 wrapper__offset-large--6 wrapper__offset-desktop--2 wrapper__offset-mobile--0\">\n\t\t<section class=\"block-post-content\">\n\t<div class=\"block-post-content__title\">\n\t\t<h3 class=\"heading  heading__color--black heading__size--medium heading__font--sans heading__weight--bold  block-post-content__heading\" id=\"nav-223\" data-nav-heading-mobile=\"\">\n\t<\/h3>\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"block-post-content__content\">\n\t\t\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper  wrapper__spacing-bottom-large--30 wrapper__spacing-bottom-desktop--20  wrapper__gutter--none\"\n  >\n  \t<div class=\"wrapper__container wrapper__container-width-large--default\">\n\t  <div class=\"wrapper__inner wrapper__width-large--24 wrapper__width-mobile--24\">\n\t\t<p\n\t\tclass=\"paragraph paragraph__align--left paragraph__color--black paragraph__size--default   block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tIn het debat ging D66 ook in op het nog beter laten aansluiten van het armoedebeleid op ander gemeentelijk beleid. Mathlouti zei daarover: \u2018Armoede staat niet op zichzelf en gaat vaak gepaard met schulden, werkloosheid, een gebrek aan kennis en andere mogelijke oorzaken. Wat ons betref laten we het nieuwe armoedebeleid dan ook zo goed mogelijk aansluiten bij ander gemeentelijk beleid zoals onderwijs, schuldhulpverlening, inburgering en het beleid om werkloze inwoners te begeleiden naar werk.
