Raadslid Antje Jordan diende voorstellen in voor stevig toezicht en financi\u00eble duidelijkheid bij de start van een bedrijf van deze grootte. &#8220;<em>We investeren publiek geld in een grote, nieuwe organisatie. Dan moeten toezicht en financi\u00eble expertise niet iets zijn voor \u2018later\u2019, maar vanaf dag \u00e9\u00e9n goed geregeld zijn. vier december gesproken over het oprichten van een regionaal warmtebedrijf. Een belangrijke stap voor de warmtetransitie, maar het plan laat flink te wensen over. De gemeente heeft nu namelijk te weinig controle en weet niet hoeveel zij uiteindelijk moet betalen. D66 had vier voorstellen ingediend om dit te voorkomen, maar slechts twee werden aangenomen. Zo kan het bedrijf de wensen van de gemeente niet zomaar naast zich neerleggen. Tegelijkertijd zou het ook voorkomen dat alle keuzes door \u00e9\u00e9n persoon kunnen worden genomen. <em>&#8220;Dit is echt een gemiste kans&#8221;,<\/em> zegt duo-raadslid Zukanovic, de jurist en ondernemingsrechtkenner van de fractie, over de gesneuvelde voorstellen. <em>&#8220;Juist nu het warmtebedrijf van start gaat, is het belangrijk om verantwoordelijkheden goed te verdelen en stevige checks and balances vast te leggen. Nu is het aan ons om scherp te blijven op publieke waarden: betaalbaarheid, transparantie, draagvlak onder de bewoners en goed bestuur.
