De woningcrisis raakt alle soorten huishoudens: starters, gezinnen en ouderen. Gemeenten hebben de verantwoordelijkheid om de beperkte ruimte slim te benutten en ervoor te zorgen dat iedereen een betaalbare, kwalitatief goede en duurzame woning kan vinden.<br>D66 wil de woningcrisis aanpakken door te bouwen waar het kan, te reguleren waar het moet en te verduurzamen voor de toekomst. Wij streven ernaar meer betaalbare woningen te realiseren en te bouwen met oog voor het klimaat. Zo scheppen we ruimte voor iedereen \u2013 of je nu starter, doorstromer of senior bent. Wij besteden specifiek aandacht aan woningen die betaalbaar en geschikt zijn voor starters, gezinnen, een- en tweepersoonshuishoudens en senioren. Dit zorgt voor een evenwichtige verdeling, zodat alle inkomensgroepen toegang hebben tot betaalbare en kwalitatief goede huisvesting. Dit voorkomt dat beleggers huizen opkopen en duur doorverkopen of verhuren.<\/li><li>Opkoopbescherming: Hiermee voorkomen we dat woningen direct worden opgekocht door beleggers om ze vervolgens tegen hoge prijzen te verhuren en onbereikbaar zijn voor starters en andere woningzoekenden.<\/li><li>Leegstandverordening: Schaarse woonruimte gaat verloren als woningen onnodig lang leegstaan. Bij doorstroming binnen de sociale sector, dragen we indien nodig bij aan de huur van de nieuwe woning, zodat die niet duurder hoeft te zijn dan de oude grotere woning. Zo komen grotere gezinswoningen beschikbaar voor jonge gezinnen. Soms kan op een bestaande bebouwing een extra verdieping worden gebouwd. Dit bespaart ruimte en infrastructuur zoals riolering en wegen zijn al aanwezig. Dit &#8216;optoppen&#8217; van woningen combineren we met verduurzaming, zoals isolatie en energiebesparende maatregelen. Verplichte verduurzaming van sociale huurwoningen via woningcorporaties is een noodzaak. Voor D66 geldt dat daar wel strikte voorwaarden voor moeten gelden.
