paragraph__align--left paragraph__color--black paragraph__size--default   block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\t&#8220;Digitalisering is voor gemeenten allang geen technisch onderwerp meer,&#8221; zegt De Bruijn. &#8220;Het raakt aan onze dienstverlening, aan de veiligheid van gegevens van inwoners en aan de vraag bij wie de sleutels van onze systemen eigenlijk liggen. Daar moeten we als gemeenten samen keuzes in maken, en daar wil ik aan bijdragen.&#8221;<br><br>De Bruijn werkte eerder mee aan de VNG-resolutie <a href=\"https:\/\/vng.nl\/sites\/default\/files\/2025-05\/20250521-08a-resolutie-collectivisering-digitalisering.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Collectivisering Digitalisering<\/a>, die in mei 2025 door de gemeenten werd aangenomen. Die resolutie gaat over samen optrekken: kennis, inkoopkracht en capaciteit bundelen in plaats van elke gemeente het wiel opnieuw laten uitvinden. Ook werkte hij mee aan de <a href=\"https:\/\/vng.nl\/trainingen\/serious-game-raadsleden-grip-op-cyberbeveiliging\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VNG-training waarmee raadsleden grip krijgen op cyberbeveiliging<\/a>. Daarnaast was hij ruim twintig jaar ondernemer in de ICT.<br><br>Juist voor een gemeente als Hulst is dat samen optrekken belangrijk, stelt De Bruijn. &#8220;Kleine gemeenten kunnen de kennis en de kosten op dit terrein niet in hun eentje dragen. Als er landelijk afspraken worden gemaakt, wil ik dat het perspectief van een kleinere, landelijk gelegen gemeente in een grensregio daarin meetelt. Dat perspectief is aan die tafel nog te vaak afwezig.&#8221;<br><br>In Hulst voert De Bruijn digitale weerbaarheid al ruim een jaar als vast dossier, met onder meer schriftelijke vragen over de digitale veiligheid van de gemeente en over de vindbaarheid en archivering van collegebesluiten.
