Onder de titel &#8220;Kernenergie: Feiten en Fictie&#8221; gingen we dieper in op de vraag wat nu echt waar is rondom kerncentrales en de energietransitie, en wat dit specifiek voor Zeeland block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tHet debat over kernenergie wordt vaak op het scherpst van de snede gevoerd, waarbij emotie en feiten nogal eens door elkaar lopen. Het doel van deze avond was dan ook helder: het delen van feitelijke, wetenschappelijk onderbouwde kennis over de mogelijke komst van nieuwe kerncentrales.<br><br><strong>Focus op inhoud, niet op politiek<\/strong><br>De bijeenkomst was bewust geen politiek debat. Politieke standpunten en beleidskeuzes werden voor \u00e9\u00e9n keer buiten beschouwing gelaten om ruimte te maken voor pure inhoud. De avond was bedoeld voor alle Zeeuwen, bestuurders en politici die zich wilden informeren over de actuele stand van zaken.<br><br><strong>Nationale topexperts aan het woord<\/strong><br>Om feiten van fictie te onderscheiden, hadden we drie nationale topexperts uitgenodigd die elk vanuit hun eigen expertise het onderwerp belichtten:<br><strong>Heleen de Coninck:<\/strong> Als hoogleraar Systeemtransities &amp; Klimaatverandering en hoofdauteur van het IPCC-klimaatrapport, schetste zij het bredere plaatje van de klimaatopgave.<br><strong>Bernard ter Haar:<\/strong> Als kernfysicus en voorzitter van het Expertteam Energiesysteem (dat voormalig minister Jetten adviseerde) gaf hij inzicht in een rechtvaardige en robuuste energietoekomst.<br><strong>Kees Thielen:<\/strong> Als stedenbouwkundige ging hij in op de concrete, ruimtelijke inpasbaarheid van kerncentrales in onze Zeeuwse omgeving.<br><br><strong>Brede samenwerking<\/strong><br>De avond was een gezamenlijk initiatief van D66, PvdA, GroenLinks, Partij voor de Dieren en Volt. Dat deze diverse partijen de handen ineensloegen en de avond uit eigen middelen financierden, onderstreept het belang dat wij hechten aan objectieve informatievoorziening.<br><br>D66 Hulst kijkt terug op een zeer geslaagde en leerzame avond.
