Terwijl we volop willen verduurzamen en groeien, loopt Hulst tegen de harde grenzen van het elektriciteitsnet aan. block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\t<strong>Netcongestie: De rem op Hulst<\/strong><br>De signalen zijn overal om ons heen zichtbaar. De nieuwe Lidl moet draaien op generatoren, de bouw van de McDonald\u2019s ligt stil en een prachtig bedrijf als St. Paul in Sint Jansteen kan niet uitbreiden omdat het stroomnet \u2018vol\u2019 zit. Ook voor onze industri\u00eble iconen zoals Kerckhaert hoefijzers, Bleijko beton en Mouterij The Swaen is de overstap naar volledige elektrificatie door de lange wachtlijsten onzeker. We kunnen niet simpelweg wachten tot het net verzwaard is; we moeten nu kijken naar slimme alternatieven om het net te ontlasten.<br><br><strong>Waterstof als groene motor<\/strong><br>Precies hier biedt waterstof uitkomst. Er wordt momenteel gewerkt aan het Waterstofnetwerk Zuidwest-Nederland: een grote transportleiding die Brabant verbindt met de industrie in Terneuzen. Deze leiding loopt dwars door onze gemeente. D66 Hulst pleit er daarom met klem voor om n\u00fa een aansluiting \u2013 een \u2018afrit\u2019 \u2013 te realiseren voor lokale initiatieven.<br><br>Het plan is helder: eind 2025 moeten de vergunningen rond zijn, waarna de bouw start. Als alles volgens plan verloopt, kan het netwerk eind 2027 in gebruik worden genomen. Juist n\u00fa is het moment om de aansluiting voor Hulst vast te leggen. Het direct integreren van een aansluiting tijdens de aanleg is namelijk vele malen simpeler en aanzienlijk goedkoper dan wanneer we dit later in een bestaand netwerk moeten \u2018inprikken\u2019.<br><br><strong>Kansen voor lokale ondernemers<\/strong><br>Een aansluiting op het waterstofnet biedt onze energie-intensieve bedrijven de zekerheid die ze nodig hebben om te kunnen blijven ondernemen en verduurzamen. Door waterstof als energiedrager te omarmen, cre\u00ebren we ruimte op het elektriciteitsnet voor andere projecten, zoals woningbouw en kleinere ondernemers. Daarnaast kunnen boeren in te komst investeren in waterstof voertuigen in plaats van diesel varianten.<br><br><strong>Een grenzeloze visie<\/strong><br>Voor D66 Hulst stopt de ambitie niet bij de gemeentegrens. Onze visie op energie is er een van verbinding. We zetten daarom stevig in op interconnectie met Vlaanderen. Door onze energie-infrastructuur over de grens heen te versterken, maken we de regio minder kwetsbaar en bouwen we aan een robuust, Europees netwerk.<br><br>Hulst heeft de kans om voorop te lopen in de groene economie. Laten we die kans grijpen door nu te investeren in een slimme, toekomstbestendige aansluiting op de waterstofsnelweg.
