Ondanks een vurig pleidooi van D66 Hulst en mede-indiener Hulst Plus, stemden 15 raadsleden tegen het voorstel; slechts 4 stemden voor. Hoewel de directe weg naar een groenere afvalstroom hiermee tijdelijk wordt geblokkeerd, blijft onze fractie strijdbaar en gericht op een duurzame toekomst.\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n afvalbeleid een kwestie van vooruitzien. Wij willen niet wachten tot de problemen ons boven de macht groeien, maar juist nu de basis leggen voor een circulaire gemeente.\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper wrapper__spacing-top-large---10 wrapper__spacing-bottom-large---10  wrapper__gutter--none\"\n  >\n  \t<div class=\"wrapper__container wrapper__container-width-large--default\">\n\t  <div class=\"wrapper__inner wrapper__width-large--24 wrapper__width-mobile--24\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"block-lists  block-lists__color--black\">\n\t\t<p class=\"paragraph  paragraph__color--black paragraph__size--default\">\n\t\t\t<\/p><ul class=\"block-lists lists__lists lists__weight--medium lists__color--black lists__type--default\">\n\t<li><strong>Leren kost tijd:<\/strong> Het opbouwen van zuivere afvalstromen en het veranderen van inlevergedrag gebeurt niet van de ene op de andere dag.<\/li><li><strong>Keten opbouwen:<\/strong> Door nu te starten met de inzameling via bijvoorbeeld kinderopvanglocaties, leren we hoe we deze stroom het beste kunnen scheiden.<\/li><li><strong>VANG-doelstellingen:<\/strong> Het apart inzamelen draagt direct bij aan de landelijke doelstellingen voor afvalscheiding, die we als gemeente momenteel niet halen.<\/li><\/ul>\t<\/div>\n\t\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper wrapper__spacing-top-large---10 wrapper__spacing-bottom-large---10 wrapper__spacing-bottom-desktop--20  wrapper__gutter--none\"\n  >\n  \t<div class=\"wrapper__container wrapper__container-width-large--default\">\n\t  <div class=\"wrapper__inner wrapper__width-large--24 wrapper__width-mobile--24\">\n\t\t<p\n\t\tclass=\"paragraph paragraph__align--left paragraph__color--black paragraph__size--default   block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\t<strong>Klaar voor de techniek van morgen<\/strong><br>Een van de belangrijkste tegenargumenten in de raad was het huidige gebrek aan verwerkingscapaciteit. De wethouder gaf aan dat we op een wachtlijst staan. Voor D66 is dit juist een reden om n\u00fa actie te ondernemen. Er zijn namelijk nieuwe, innovatieve recyclingfabrieken in ontwikkeling.<br><br>&#8220;Het is geen probleem om op een wachtlijst te staan; die verdwijnt vanzelf. Het is juist een gemiste kans om niet alvast de logistiek op te tuigen zodat we direct kunnen instappen zodra er ruimte is.&#8221;<br><br><strong>Oplossingsgericht versus status quo<\/strong><br>In het debat werd door tegenstanders gewezen op de huidige regelingen, zoals extra containers voor grote gezinnen. D66 ziet dit echter als een ineffici\u00ebnte en minder hygi\u00ebnische oplossing, aangezien deze containers vaak maar eens per maand worden geleegd. Wij pleiten voor een moderner systeem met strategische inzamelpunten dat op termijn kostenbesparend werkt voor alle inwoners.<br><br>Hoewel de raad de motie nu &#8220;prematuur&#8221; vindt, blijven wij ons inzetten voor dit dossier. Wij zullen de discussie over het afvalbeleid in de komende commissievergaderingen blijven voeden met een positieve, groene visie.
