Letterlijk. Vier keer in korte tijd werden Hulst, Heikant, Sint Jansteen en omliggende dorpen getroffen door stroomstoringen. Voor D66 Hulst is de maat vol. Fractievoorzitter Pieter de Bruijn heeft vandaag scherpe schriftelijke vragen ingediend bij het college. Wij eisen niet alleen duidelijkheid over de recente incidenten, maar vooral een strategisch plan voor onze energietoekomst.\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tIedereen in onze gemeente heeft het gemerkt: het licht knipperde niet alleen, het ging volledig uit. En niet voor even. Terwijl duizenden inwoners in het donker zaten, ondernemers hun productie zagen stilvallen en de onzekerheid toenam, bleef de informatievoorziening gebrekkig.<br><br><strong>4.000 of 16.000 huishoudens?<\/strong><br>In de offici\u00eble meldingen van netbeheerder Stedin werd gesproken over &#8220;4.000 getroffen huishoudens&#8221;. Een cijfer dat volgens D66 de plank volledig misslaat. &#8220;Wie naar de kaart kijkt, ziet dat bijna de hele gemeente Hulst, plus delen van Axel, Zaamslag en Koewacht plat lagen,&#8221; stelt Pieter de Bruijn. &#8220;Dan heb je het niet over 4.000, maar over ruim 16.000 aansluitingen. Als de netbeheerder niet eens weet hoe groot de impact is, hoe kunnen ze de problemen dan adequaat oplossen?&#8221;<br><br><strong>Gebrekkige communicatie<\/strong><br>Naast de verkeerde cijfers, was ook de communicatie richting inwoners ondermaats. Mensen wisten niet waar ze aan toe waren. De Bruijn: &#8220;In tijden van crisis is verwachtingsmanagement essentieel. Inwoners en ondernemers tastten lang in het duister over de verwachte hersteltijd. D66 wil dat de gemeente hierin een actievere rol pakt, als de netbeheerder het laat afweten. Onze eigen communicatiekanalen, zoals die van de VRZ, moeten dan ingezet worden.&#8221;<br><br><strong>Einde van de lijn<\/strong><br>Maar D66 kijkt verder dan de storing van gisteren. Deze incidenten leggen een pijnlijke, strategische kwetsbaarheid bloot. Hulst ligt geografisch gezien aan het &#8216;einde van de lijn&#8217;. We zijn voor onze stroomvoorziening afhankelijk van \u00e9\u00e9n kritieke toevoerlijn en de kabels onder de Westerschelde.<br>&#8220;We kunnen niet blijven wachten op netverzwaring die pas in 2030 of 2035 klaar is,&#8221; zegt De Bruijn. &#8220;We moeten nu nadenken over <em>lokale<\/em> oplossingen.&#8221;<br><br><strong>Van wachten naar aanpakken: De Energiehub<\/strong><br>In de schriftelijke vragen (art. 32) die vandaag zijn ingediend, pleit D66 voor een fundamenteel andere aanpak. Wij vragen het college te onderzoeken of <strong>Lokale Energiehub<\/strong>s in Hulst haalbaar zijn. Hierbij wordt lokaal opgewekte energie (zon en wind) direct gekoppeld aan lokale opslag en verbruik, zonder dat het landelijke net overbelast wordt. Zo worden we minder afhankelijk van die ene kwetsbare kabel en houden we de energievoorziening betaalbaar en betrouwbaar.<br>Daarnaast vraagt D66 om opheldering <a href=\"https:\/\/hulst.raadsinformatie.nl\/modules\/4\/Schriftelijke%20vragen\/921938\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">over toezeggingen uit 2024 die nog steeds niet zijn nagekomen<\/a>, zoals het congestiemanagement onderzoek, slim laden bij laadpalen en de verduurzaming van gemeentelijk vastgoed.<br><br><strong>D66 Hulst wil dat het licht blijft branden. Niet door af te wachten, maar door vooruit te kijken.<\/strong><br>\ud83d\udcc4 <em>Benieuwd naar de volledige set vragen die wij aan het college hebben gesteld?
