D66 wil dat inwoners zich altijd veilig kunnen voelen \u2014 of ze nu \u2019s avonds naar huis fietsen, online boodschappen doen of te maken krijgen met noodsituaties. Dat vraagt om slim en doordacht beleid, met oog voor mens, natuur en moderne risico\u2019s.<br><br>We pleiten voor slimme straatverlichting die meeschakelt met gebruik en die bijdraagt aan het veiligheidsgevoel. Voor aanpak van bestrating en fietspaden die uitnodigen tot veilig verkeer en waarin keuzes gebaseerd zijn op een goede risicoanalyse. En voor een gemeente die inwoners weerbaar maakt tegen inbraak, oplichting en online fraude \u2014 voor jong en oud.<br><br>Daarnaast moet de politie, brandweer en ambulance tijdig kunnen optreden, en willen we dat huiselijk en seksueel geweld actief wordt voorkomen. Het Zorg- en Veiligheidshuis Twente speelt hierbij een belangrijke rol, net als lokale partners die snel kunnen schakelen.<br><br>Tot slot vraagt D66 aandacht voor de grote veiligheidsrisico\u2019s die we liever nooit meemaken, maar w\u00e9l moeten voorbereiden: van overstroming tot een incident met gevaarlijke stoffen of langdurige uitval van energievoorzieningen. Daarom willen we actuele rampenscenario\u2019s, goed geoefende crisisteams en kazernes en steunpunten die klaarstaan bij calamiteiten. Ook de Veiligheidsregio Twente moet beleid tijdig actualiseren.<br><br>Kortom: D66 kiest voor een veilige, moderne en weerbare Hof van Twente \u2014 met korte lijnen, slimme maatregelen en oog voor de
