block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tDe motie riep het college op om een burgerberaad in te stellen bestaande uit inwoners en bedrijven en samen met hen de verkeersproblematiek op te lossen. Coen Raijer (fractievoorzitter D66 Hoeksche Waard) zegt daarover: \u201cIk vind het jammer dat onze motie om verkeersveiligheid meer aandacht te geven is verworpen. Wij krijgen wekelijks e-mails van bezorgde inwoners over verkeersveiligheid. We hadden graag gezien dat de inbreng van belangengroepen en betrokken inwoners gebundeld kon worden in een burgerberaad. De partijen die tegen de motie hebben gestemd hadden onder andere moeite met het lostrekken van het onderwerp uit de bredere discussie over mobiliteit. Volgens hen is het ook beter om dit onderwerp te bespreken tijdens de behandeling van de begroting in het najaar. Er is zo veel aan de hand op de wegen in onze gemeente en die druk neemt alleen maar toe de komende maanden.
