Aanleiding hiervoor is dat, ondanks de aankoop van meerdere panden aan de Hoofdstraat en de eerder vastgestelde visie op het HD-plein, de uitvoering van de plannen opnieuw vertraging lijkt op te lopen. Met het recente bericht dat Ahold afziet van een mogelijke verhuizing richting de Hoofdstraat, is er volgens D66 nog meer onduidelijkheid ontstaan over de koers en voortgang van het project.<br><br>Uit de bij de visie behorende planning blijkt dat diverse deelprojecten in 2025 al gestart of afgerond zouden moeten zijn, maar in de praktijk is hiervan nog weinig zichtbaar. Ondernemers en inwoners hebben aan de gemeenteraad laten weten zich zorgen te maken over het uitblijven van concrete stappen.<br><br>D66 vraagt het college onder meer om helderheid over de gesprekken met ontwikkelaars en Ahold, inclusief de redenen waarom dit bedrijf heeft afgezien van een mogelijke verhuizing. Ook wil de fractie duidelijkheid over de positie van de huidige huurders en in hoeverre tijdelijke of alternatieve oplossingen mogelijk zijn. Daarnaast stelt D66 vragen over de huidige staat en veiligheid van de aangekochte panden en over de mogelijkheden om \u2013 waar nodig \u2013 delen versneld te slopen. Tot slot wil de fractie inzicht krijgen in de status van verdere benodigde onderzoeken, zoals het flora- en faunaonderzoek, en de stand van zaken rondom de mogelijke rol van de bibliotheek en Aldi binnen het toekomstige plan.<br><br>\u201cZowel ondernemers als inwoners wachten al jaren op zichtbare vooruitgang op het Henri Dunantplein. We willen goed begrijpen wat er nu wel en niet is gebeurd, zodat we als raad kunnen bijdragen aan een sneller en duidelijker proces,\u201d aldus raadslid Jasper Out.\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n
